Generous Responsibility
We understand that following Christ is a surrender of all of our life. Our finances are often the toughest area to give over to God. A life of obedience leads us to give faithfully. A life of grace moves us to give generously and cheerfully. For us, giving generously means prayerfully engaging the question of responsibility. We view the tithe (10 percent) not as a rule but as a good starting place to grow in financial generosity.

Fusion operates under the conviction that every dollar spent should reflect the mission God has given us. As a community, we commit to each and all of our faithful supporters that the resources spent will be managed with integrity and directed with the same passion that fuels Fusion . . . God's fame, not our own.

Financial Generosity Q & A
What does Fusion believe about my stuff?
Everything is God’s. We have been given responsibility for the stuff we have---stewardship. But ultimately, it is all God’s.

Fusion believes that generosity is holistic.
Generosity is not just one area: time, money, skills, stuff, etc . . .

What does Fusion believe about giving financially?
We believe that financial giving is the responsibility of the church (local community of followers of Christ). We believe that giving financially is a measure of generosity as a whole.

What does Fusion believe about giving if my finances are a mess?
We understand that to start giving 10% or more when you don’t have a handle on your finances can lead anyone to give up altogether. We want to walk with you and help you get all of your finances under control. Gary Caplinger is committed to sit down with you and walk you through a process that will help you to practically manage your resources under a biblical perspective.

What does Fusion believe about how much should be given financially?
We believe that a tithe (10%) is a great starting point for giving. Most importantly though, is not the percentage or amount---but that you are giving regularly. The importance of measuring and assessing the amount to give is to give a measuring point for growth in your generosity. Just as we want to continually grow in areas of prayer, biblical understanding, practical expressions of love, etc.---we must also be disciplined to grow in our financial generosity. Keeping tabs on the percentage, helps us to be intentional. We are to determine what God desires us to give---and do it cheerfully.

Who does Fusion believe should be giving financially?
We encourage all members, and followers of Christ who call Fusion their community to give financially to Fusion. If you would not consider yourself a Christ follower, or would even consider yourself a guest within our community---we ask that you feel no obligation to give. We ask that you view the moments you are with us in our small groups, our gathering, or parties, etc, as a gift to you.

How can you give financially to Fusion?
Every time we meet together you are welcome to give. During the Gathering we always have a wooden bowl set up with envelopes—so that you can give efficiently before or after our time together. You may choose to give at your Fusion House Church--simply give to the leader of the FHC--it makes it easier if you place your check or cash in a labeled envelope.

You are welcome to pay by check, just write it to Fusion. You can also give cash. If you would like tax credit for your cash, please include your name with the financial gift. You can also pay online—www.fusionokc.com and find ‘online giving’ in the navigation menu, or you can go directly to the form at https://secure.bluehost.com/~fusionok/giving/forms/form1.html.

How can you give financially to Project Himalayas?
Project Himalayas is a name for all of our work in the Himalaya region of India. You can find out more about this work at www.projecthimalayas.com. You can give to Project Himalayas in the same way. We have not set up a separate 501c3 for Project Himalayas---it exists under the realm of Fusion Church Inc. Please just write any checks to Fusion and in the memo area write Project Himalayas. You can also give directly to Project Himalayas online at https://secure.bluehost.com/~projecth/giving/forms/form1.html.

How does Fusion practice financial generosity?
As a church we want to be focused on giving generously as well. For us, this means making sure that our budget includes at least 10% of our funds going to church planting, missionary sending, and social justice within our city. As with each individual, we as a community want 10% to be only the starting place for our collective financial generosity.
