“Our relationship with each other is the criterion the world uses to judge whether our message is truthful . . .” Francis Schaeffer

FUSION HOUSE CHURCHES
Fusion House Churches are our smaller groups meeting during the week. We believe these are more than just 6 to 10 people gathering over a meal once a week--they are smaller representations of the Body of Christ. These groups are "house churches" with all the responsibility any church--they are responsible to gather around the name of Christ, to serve one another, and to reach out to those who are in need and who are spritiually thirsty.

30 DAYS TO SEE (OUR CITY)
As we began our Fusion House Churches in September of this year, we began them with a conviction to birth them as true communities that would serve together. We believed that it was for every FHC to pray together and discern God's direction to reach out to serve and love those who find themselves marginalized by society--and who might be the least, last and lost, of our neighborhoods.   We trusted that God would use our30 DAYS OF PRAYER to spark creative ways He wants use our individual House Churches and our Fusion community as a whole to love and care for our city. We are now on the journey to be faithful to what He has shown us . . .

ORGANIC COMMUNITY
Beyond our planned Thursday nights there is an organic nature of true community that exists over coffee, during a dinner with others, or at a party with friends. These unstructured and uncalendared get-togethers are often where life is shared in its most meaningful form. We know that it is vital to plan on regularly getting together for a purpose. However, the presence of this 'organic community' reveals the true heart of a church. Anytime two or three of us are together, acknowledging CHrist, we are Fusion.

LIVING IN COMMUNITY
Living in community is about intentionally fighting against the isolationism that is so prevalent in American culture. While we are thankful for our freedom, we’ve let it build within us a rugged individualism that mocks the responsibility we were made to have for others. The Bible is clear that we are not to live lives alone. From building the model of the family (Adam and Eve---the first family) to the creation of the Church (followers of Christ together), we were meant for relationships. However, loneliness and isolation runs rapant in America today. One third of American’s claim to battle against frequent feelings of loneliness. George Gallup Jr. says, “American’s are among the most lonely people in the world.”

We were made for relationship with others and with God. The role of the Church must be to engage people with the story of belonging. Belonging to God and to each other, in the church. One way that we engage others with this message of meaning and community, is living out community ourselves. Scripture outlines what life looks like together. We can see our responsibilities in a quick scan of the New Testament “one anothers” . . .

Jesus,
Let us follow your example, living out a love for your that spurs us to LOVE one another, ENCOURAGE one another, ACCEPT one another, BE DEVOTED TO one another, FORGIVE one another, BE KIND TO one another, SPEAK TRUTH TO one another, LIVE IN PEACE WITH one another, SERVE one another, COMFORT one another, BE HUMBLE TO one another, BE UNIFIED WITH one another, CARRY THE BURDENS of one another. Amen.
