“Something happened to you . . . the word has gotten around. Your lives are echoing the Master’s Word . . . all over the place. The news of your faith in God is out . . . YOU are the message.”

Our Direction
As a community, we are continually moving toward God and a life that is holistically transformed by Him. We understand this to mean that we are living out an inward/spiritual existence and an outward/incarnational one. These are not seperate or unaffected by the other. Our overarching hope is that each one involved in fusion would be forever-in-motion toward God both inwardly and outwardly.

Our Spiritual Movement
“Abide in Me and I in you . . .”

Life following Christ is distinctly spiritual. It is a life of listening to God, being aware of His leading. God is relational with us, not working from a distance, but working within us. Scripture says that God has given us His Spirit to be within us, as we follow Him. One of the most important things Fusion can do as a community is introduce people to life as a spiritual movement with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
May we walk with Christ, dependent upon His movement within us.

Our Incarnational Movement
“We are ambassadors for Christ, God making His appeal through us . . .”

God is missionary. He sent His Son into our world, into our lives, and into human history. Just as God has come to us--He sends us into everyday life to love and serve our friends, co-workers, family, strangers, and even enemies. Our lives are now the appeal that God makes to others. As a community we share together a life that goes into the world truly loving, humbly serving, and authentically living as a new community. May we carry Christ into our everyday.

Our Shared Values
We are a community that has gathered together around some values that may make us distinct from what you may know or have experienced in church. We also gather around other values that may be similar to other churches, these are the essentials of faith. We gather together, sharing life, because we believe in and have a relationship with God. The focus of our faith is God, the Father-the Son (Jesus)-the Holy Spirit. He is the ultimate reason Fusion exists. He is the reason for the Church.

Fusion, specifically, gatherings in a certain form, which define our distinct values. When Jesus was asked what the most important thing was, He responsed, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strenght . . . and love your neighbor as yourself." Jesus is making a statement about what is most meaningful in life. So, the purpose behind everything that we do as a church, is guided by this measure. We want to become deep feeling, deep thinking, deeply spiritual, deeply changed people. We want to discover together what it is to know and love God. We want to also love all people.

These are our hopes, together. We must be honest though. We are far from loving God fully. We are far from caring compassionately for others. We are broken people. We have a conviction that church should be the gathering of authentic and honest people. No need to fake church or fake caring. We really want to be changed. We also have a conviction that church should be a community, sharing life together. It means that we must leverage our life to be with others, to let others in our life, and to care for others. This is what is meant by coming together as the church.
Church, isn't a building.

Church, isn't a certain time of the week.

Church, isn’t mostly about “me”. While we are creating an atmosphere where people can tell their stories and be known—we never want to miss that our focus is God. “If we have never had the experience of taking our commonplace religious shoes off our commonplace religious feet, and getting rid of all the undue familiarity with which we approach God, it is questionable whether we have ever stood in His presence.” –O. Chambers

Church, is a community of those who journey together to follow Christ. We gather together believing that the way live our lives together matters. We have hope that the more people who truly follow Christ, whether with Fusion, or other churches, that it should make our city different. We believe that the transformation that can only be found in Jesus Christ is the very transformation that leads to a city, country, and global transformation.

St. Patrick's Prayer
Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down,
Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.

I arise today
Through a mighty strength,
the invocation of the Trinity,
Through belief in the threeness,
Through confession of the oneness,
Of the Creator of Creation.
